أعلن مجلس النواب، فتح باب الترشيح لتولي منصب رئيس الجمهورية اعتباراً من الأحد ولمدة ثلاثة أيام.
جاء ذلك في بيان مقتضب للدائرة الاعلامية لمجلس النواب.
وفي وقت سابق، عقد المجلس جلسته الاعتيادية برئاسة محمد الحلبوسي، وحضور 238 نائباً.
وتم خلال الجلسة التصويت على فتح باب الترشيح مجدداً لمنصب رئيس الجمهورية.
